◆SMBC Japan Series 2025 Game 5: Hanshin Tigers 2-3 Softbank (30th, Koshien)
Softbank came from behind to win the Japan Series for the first time in five years. Yamakawa, who hit home runs in three consecutive games, tied the series record, and was the clear leader in points contributed with 9.45, earning him the MVP award as expected. Hanshin Tigers 's Sato Teru hit RBIs in all five games, but regrettably lost four of those games, preventing him from scoring more. Yanagita's tying two-run home run and Nomura's stunning home run and game-winning hit helped them rise to the top of the league.
