
On the 29th, Orix announced that infielder Kosei Osato underwent arthroscopic stabilization surgery for a recurrent dislocation of the right shoulder at a hospital in Tokyo on the 28th. After immobilizing the affected area for 3-4 weeks, he will undergo rehabilitation with the aim of returning to play.
Osato is in his fourth year as a development player and has played in 46 games this season, batting .224 with 7 RBI. He also played in outfield towards the end of the season, proving his presence as a versatile player.
