Ogita, who underwent a similar surgery in April, emphasized, "No matter how hard I try, all I can do is rehabilitate, so I'm just doing what I have to do and waiting for myself to get into good shape. All I can do now is work steadily." Higashiyama, a first-year player who underwent a similar surgery in May, vowed to make a comeback, saying, "I'm grateful to the team for allowing me to undergo surgery despite having no track record, and I feel I need to repay their kindness with solid results. To that end, I'm working hard on my rehabilitation now, and hopefully I'll be able to pitch again next year in an improved state."
Osari, who underwent arthroscopic stabilization surgery for recurrent dislocation of the right shoulder at a hospital in Tokyo on the 28th, will also undergo rehabilitation with the aim of returning to competition.
