Nippon-Ham announced on March 28 that it notified five players Haruka Nemoto pitcher (22), Koki Matsuoka pitcher (25), Haruki Miyauchi pitcher (29), Hinode Hoshino (20), and developmental players Terukazu Nakayama pitcher (26) that they will not sign contracts for the upcoming season at the team's facility in Kamagaya, Chiba Prefecture.

Nemoto joined the team as the fifth pick in the 2020 draft and won three games in his third year in 2022 and his fourth year in 2023. He was a promising left-handed pitcher and was selected to represent Japan in the 2nd Asian Championship held in October 2023, but he only pitched in two games in 2024 and did not pitch in the first team this season.
