
Softbank pitcher Carter Stewart Jr. returned to the United States on the 19th to undergo medical treatment and rehabilitation there, the team announced.
Stewart is normally a starter, but he was forced to leave spring training in February after injuring his left side, and returned to Japan temporarily in April. He returned to Japan in May and continued rehabilitation, and did not pitch this season.
