Softbank Moinello pitcher took the field for live hitting practice (live BP) at the Mizuho Payday Dome. He faced Ogata, Nomura, and Yanagida for three at bats each, giving up only 1 Hit by Pitch and not allowing any hit or Walk hits. He gave up only 1 mound and didn't allow any closer or hits. Finally, he got Yanagida to fly out to center field and raised his hands in the air, saying, "Gita, you're out. The first time I saw him, I thought, "I'm going to bite on a curveball and hit it, but as I threw it, I thought there were a lot of holes in it," he recalled with a smile.
He is likely to pitch in the opening game of the final stage of the CS on the 15th (at Mizuho PayPay). "My condition is good, just like during the season. I'm not tired or anything like that," he said, indicating that he is progressing smoothly.
