On the 10th, Lotte announced the schedule for their fall training camp. The training will be held at Miyakonojo Municipal ball park in Miyazaki Prefecture from the 29th to November 17th (holidays on the 3rd, 7th, and 12th). The participating players will be announced at a later date.
New manager Saburo warned through the team that the fall camp will be hellish, saying, "It will be a tough camp. I want the players to pursue both quality and quantity in practice and put in tough training that will serve as a foundation for next year. By enduring and getting through it, I think there will be a lot to gain, and I think their skills will improve as well. Together with the coaches, I would like to create a packed menu so that when the players look back at next year's season after it's over, they will think, 'It was because of that camp.'"
This season, the team finished in last place for the first time in eight years since 2017. Manager Saburo, who replaced Manager Yoshii, immediately began coaching fall practice after his inauguration press conference at Zozo on the 8th. Regarding fall training, he declared, "It will be a Showa-era training camp. I'm going to push the players in the fall, even if it means getting injured." This offseason, the team is undergoing a blood change, with Ogino, Ayumu Ishikawa, Sawamura and others deciding to leave by the 9th.
