On the 8th, Seibu announced that they have signed a contract with pitcher Emmanuel Ramírez for the 2026 season.

Ramirez commented through the team, "I am honored to be a part of The Lions again next year. This offseason I will work hard to get in shape, contribute more to the team's win, and advance to the Climax Series."

Additionally, team general manager Koji Hiroike said, "fastball, curveball and fork- are all of high quality, and as expected, he is pitcher with great strike out ability. He was out for about two months from early July, but pitch since returning has been impeccable, and we have decided that he will be an indispensable pitcher for The Lions next season as well. We were also impressed by how he prepares thoroughly and gives his best in any situation. We look forward to seeing him do well next season."

Ramirez joined the team this season and pitched in 27 games, posting a record of 1 win, 0 losses, 7 hold, and an ERA of 1.01.
