As part of the social contribution project "MARINES LINKS," Chiba Lotte is participating in the "TEAMMATES" project run by the certified NPO Being ALIVE Japan. This is the fourth time since last year, and Yuto Unozawa, who is undergoing long-term treatment for acute myeloid leukemia, has been newly admitted to the team.
Today, the press conference was held at Zozo Marine Stadium, with manager Masato Yoshii in attendance. Yuto Unozawa will assist with practice as a member of the team once or twice a month at Zozo Marine Stadium and Lotte Urawa Baseball Stadium until the end of the 2025 season.
The TEAMMATES project is a project that supports the independence of children who require long-term medical care and helps create a community. We work with Links Build Co., Ltd. as a partner company.
Comment from Yuto Unozawa
"I want the players to call me 'Yuto.' What I'm looking forward to about joining the team is being able to watch The Marines players play up close. My goal after joining the team is to work hard to be able to support the players' practice. I want to become a teammate (player) that everyone can rely on. I look forward to working with you."
