On June 10th, the second game of the "Nippon Life Interleague Series 2026" between Hokkaido Nippon-Ham and the Yokohama DeNA BayStars, held at ES CON FIELD, ended with a 4-2 win for Hokkaido Nippon-Ham. This extended their winning streak to six games and secured their first series win against the Yokohama DeNA BayStars since 2017.
Hokkaido Nippon-Ham 's starting pitcher, Takayuki Kato, pitched a perfect pitch through four innings. However, in the top of the fifth inning, with a one-run doble-tying RBI double, and then, with runners on second and third with one out, allowed the go-ahead run on an infield grounder. Nevertheless, he pitched without any trouble from the sixth inning onward, when the score was tied again, and left mound after seven innings, having thrown 103 pitches, hit two hits, one Walk strike out four, and allowed two runs.

Takashi pitcher threw over 100 pitches for the first time this season and earned his sixth win. Offensively, third-round draft pick rookie Otsuka hit Home Run for the second consecutive game, recording his first three-hit game since turning pro. Mizutani, who returned to the first team the day before, made his presence felt with a game-tying home run and a go-ahead RBI single.
