On June 2, in the third round of the farm regular season Hokkaido Nippon-Ham vs. Chunichi held at The Fighters Kamagaya Stadium, Hokkaido Nippon-Ham win 8-1.

The starting rookie, Jay Ohkawa pitcher, was regular season 's first mound starter. With two hit out and runners on first and third in the first inning, he earned a swinging struck out from Yohei Oshima in the next inning. He retired all three batters in order in the second and third innings, but in the top of the fourth, he gave up a timely hit from Oshima and scored the first run. After that, he did not score and pitched 58 pitches in 4 innings, allowing 4 hit no walks Hit by Pitch 5 strike out 1 runs and leaving the mound.

The lineup was only 2 hit through the 5th inning against the opposing starter Takahiro Matsuba pitcher, but in the bottom of the 6th, Martinez's doble created a chance with two outs and runners on first and second. In this stellar form, Haruki Nishikawa hit his first three-run homer to right, successfully taking the lead. In the bottom of the eighth, Kane Edokpolo hit his 10th solo homer, and Nishikawa, Daigo Kamikawahata, and Yuma Imagawa hit timely hits, bringing the score to 8-1.

From the 5th inning onward, the relief lineup was Kotaro Seimiya pitcher and Yamato Kato pitcher relayed the line with a single inning and three batters retired in order, creating a runs relay. In the top of the ninth, Tsubasa Namatame pitcher closed out with three consecutive struck out. Nishikawa scored 2 hit 4 RBI, while Martinez and Daigo Kamikawahata also marked 2 hit.
