The Saitama Seibu Lions entered the second day of their third training period. In the morning, as on the previous day, pitcher and fielder worked together to review double steal prevention and rundown plays.

During the lunch break, players Sosuke Genda and Masayuki Kuwahara took part in extra batting practice. The batting pitcher was Shota Takekuma, who pitched in a total of 365 games and now supports the team as a staff member.
