Saitama Seibu Lions 's Masayuki Kuwahara hit a go-ahead two-run homer, his second of the season.

In the top of the 7th inning, trailing by one run, Natsuo Takizawa got on base with one out. Kuwahara stepped up to the plate and, on the third pitch of a 1-1 count, connected with a low breaking ball. The ball soared high into the air and soared towards left field for a two-run homer that landed in bullpen.

In his first at-bat, Kuwahara used his speed to hit triple that led to the first run of the game. As the leadoff hitter, he is leading the offense.
