In the bottom of the fifth, Shuna Hori added another run with a timely hit, but starter pitcher Saito tied the game with Masahiro Tateishi's fourth two-run homer in the top of the sixth. Still, in the bottom of the sixth, Ryoma Ikeda hit his fifth solo home run to take the lead again. In the bottom of the seventh, Masahiro Nishino hit a timely hit, bringing the score to 7-5. pitcher Saito was pulled in the top of the eighth with two outs and runners on second and third, but Shota Abe pitcher came in without runs to get through the game.

In the top of the ninth, Matthew pitcher retired all three batters in order, closer the game ended 7-5. Orix Buffaloes starter pitcher Saito threw 112 pitches in 7.2 innings, throwing 8 hit 2 Walk 3 strike out 5 runs. The lineup led to Nishi's fielder’s choice, Ikeda, and Nakanishi scoring 3 hit, totaling 17 hit and 7 runs to win the slugfest.
