On the 18th, Orix Buffaloes Ryuhei Sotani pitcher Ryuhei Soya, who is currently participating in Samurai Japan's training camp in Miyazaki, received some tips from Padres pitcher Yu Darvish, who serves as his advisor.

He threw 48 pitches in bullpen. Using Trackman, he checked the numerical values of each pitch's quality and amount of movement when throwing the balls used in the WBC. Based on those values, Darvish gave him advice such as, "You should use this type of ball in this way." He not only checked the accuracy of the ball, but also learned to use the numerical values in his pitching. "I think this will be important when I look at the numerical values in the future," he expressed his gratitude. Based on the results, he immediately discussed his pitching with Hanshin Tigers catcher Seishiro Sakamoto.
