Today, January 21st (Wednesday), Chiba Lotte Marines Daito Yamamoto We look back at the players' first professional home run and the moments when they hit double-digit Home Run.

11 Home Run with a powerful swing! Expectations are high for further awakening

Yamamoto hit 45 Home Run in the minor leagues over the four years up to 2024, but did not Home Run in the major leagues. In 2025, he missed out on making the major leagues at the start of the season, but he posted a batting average of .365 with Home Run in 16 games in the minor leagues, and was promoted to the major leagues on April 12th.

On April 16th, he had recorded his first professional RBI the day before. With both teams scoreless, in the bottom of the sixth inning, with one out and runners on first and second, he stepped up to bat and hit a low, outside cutter into the left-field stands. His long-awaited hit was a three-run leadoff run, sending the stadium into a frenzy of cheers.

Yamamoto then hit five Home Run in June. He reached double digits in Home Run on July 5th in a game against Orix Buffaloes Buffaloes at Hotto Motto Field Kobe. He hit his ninth home run of the season, a two-run shot off pitcher Daiki Tajima in the first inning, and his 10th of the season, a solo Home Run, in the top of the fourth. His two consecutive Home Run led the team to win.

Yamamoto hit 10 Home Run in the first half of the season, but struggled in the second half, Home Run just one. With the experience he gained playing in the first team throughout the season, will he be able to hit a lot of home runs in 2026?
