In the bottom of the sixth inning, leading by three runs, leadoff player Yamaguchi caught the third pitch, fastball, and hit his 18th solo home run into the left field stands. Then, with one out, pinch hitter Yamamoto swung through a fastball right down the middle, resulting in a solo home run of the home run Lagoon.

Yamaguchi continued to set a new career high with a home run. Yamamoto hit his first home run since the April 11 game against Saitama Seibu Lions. To secure win, two sluggers fired up in the middle innings.
