For three days from Friday, June 27th to Sunday, June 29th, a special event called "KOREAN NIGHT" will be held at Zozo Marine Stadium during the game against Fukuoka Softbank, where Korean cuisine and culture will be displayed throughout the stadium. Five popular cheerleaders from the Korean Professional baseball (KBO) team, the Busan Lotte Giants, and the team mascot, Win-G, will be appearing as special guests.

Over the two days of the 28th and 29th, Chiba Lotte Marines' official cheer performers "M☆Splash!!" and official mascot Maru-kun and his friends livened up the stadium.

The Lotte Giants cheerleaders were already in full swing before the game even started. They appeared on the ballpark stage on the perimeter of the stadium in the "M☆Splash‼ Dance Show supported by J:COM," and showed off the entertaining, well-coordinated dance performance that is unique to Korean professional baseball cheerleaders.

They also performed a collaborative performance with "M☆Splash!!", creating a special stage where Japanese and Korean cheerleaders coexisted while each exuding their own unique charms, which drew thunderous applause from the audience.

During the game, the team also made efforts to deepen their sense of unity with Japanese fans, such as dancing to Chiba Lotte Marines team song, "WE LOVE MARINES." The large number of performance videos, photos, and comments posted on social media shows the magnitude of the response.

The Lotte Giants cheer team has 13 members in Korea. We will introduce the five members who visited us this time: leader Mok Na-kyung, Lee Ho-jeong, Park Dan-bi, Kim Na-hyun, and Kim Ga-hyun, along with their messages to Japanese professional baseball fans.

After being scouted at a baseball stadium while watching a game when she was in high school, she made her debut as a cheerleader in 2016. She was 18 years old at the time, and it was rare for a high school student to be active as a cheerleader, so when her age was revealed, she attracted a lot of attention and became a hot topic.

Mok Na-kyung, who joined the Lotte Giants cheer team in 2024 and is currently the team leader,

"If we are invited again, I would like all 13 members, our mascot Nuri, and cheer leader Cho Ji-hoon to come and liven up the event!" he said, mentioning his friends who were unable to come to Japan this time, and expressed his desire to visit Japan again.

YUKA and KONOMI from "M☆Splash!!," the official cheer performers for Chiba Lotte Marines, look back on their performance with the Lotte Giants cheerleaders.

YUKA Mr. Miss.
"I was really nervous before actually meeting them, but from the moment I met them, everyone was so energetic and friendly that I remember my nervousness melting away in an instant. They were all so energetic, and we were able to carry out rehearsals and the performance in a bright and cheerful atmosphere, so being around them really energized me as well.
When Japanese people meet, they tend to be a little formal at first, but by greeting each other with enthusiasm and gusto from the start, it really closes the distance between us, and I was able to experience how the first impression can make all the difference in how much fun we have there afterwards. It was a very big and memorable experience."

KONOMI Mr. Miss.
"The dance style and song selection were fresh and different from what you see in M☆Splash!!, and it was wonderful to see how everyone, who are always cheerful and energetic, suddenly switched gears when it came to performing. Even though we couldn't speak the same language, I was happy that we were able to communicate through English and body language. The next time I go to Korea, I definitely want to go see baseball game!"

In Korea, cheerleaders are one of the main characters who liven up the game, and at the same time, they are a profession that has a strong presence as idols and entertainers. The foreign cheer culture provided fresh surprise and excitement for both Japanese professional baseball fans and Japanese cheer performers, and this visit was not just a performance; it was a wonderful opportunity to deepen mutual understanding and exchange between the professional baseball cultures of Japan and Korea.

We hope that such international events will continue to be held in the future, that further friendly relationships will be built through baseball, and that the world of cheerleading in Japanese professional baseball will continue to grow.
