On the 21st, Nippon-Ham announced that ES CON FIELD HOKKAIDO, owned and operated by The Fighters Sports & Entertainment Co., Ltd., has been certified by the Guinness World Records.
The award was for the "largest continuous glass façade on a stadium," meaning the stadium is officially recognized as the one with the largest glass wall in the world.
Executive Director and Head of Development Masaru Maezawa commented, "The glass wall that has been certified as a Guinness World Record was made possible by incorporating a recent trend in global stadium architecture of 'pursuing an open and comfortable feel like the outdoors while being indoors.' We are extremely pleased that our efforts have been recognized in this honorable way as the 'world's largest.'"
