Seibu will hold a special cheering event at Yakult games to be held at Belluna Dome on June 3rd and 4th, inviting the brass bands from Hanasaki Tokuharu and Urawa Gakuin.
This event was also held last year, when the Hanasaki Tokuharu High School brass band came and livened up the stadium. This year, Hanasaki Tokuharu High School will be there on the 3rd, and Urawa Gakuin High School will be there for the first time on the 4th. They will perform on ground before the game, and during the game, they will perform a special cheer and performance in collaboration with The Lions' private cheering squad in a special performance area set up in The Lions outfield reserved seats in left field. They will play cheer songs unique to high school baseball, as well as original cheer songs from each school, to liven up the stadium.
Hanasaki Tokuharu alumnus Manaya Nishikawa "I'm happy to hear that you'll be coming again after last year. I wasn't able to play in the game last year, so this year I want to keep producing results so that I can step up to bat and have the brass band play my cheer song. I'm also looking forward to meeting the teachers and the brass band."
Urawa Gakuin alumnus, Watanabe Yutaro: "I'm happy that the brass band, which cheered for us so much when we were students, is cheering for us. The Urawa Gakuin Samba (our original cheering song) is still memorable to me. I'll turn the brass band's performance into energy, and although I don't know if I'll be pitching on the day, I'll do my best to help us win!"
