On the 18th, Chiba Lotte Marines held a special New Year's special security operation ceremony at the Grand Square on the first floor of Aeon Mall Makuhari New City, sponsored by Chiba Nishi Police Station. The team's official mascot, Mar-kun, and MIKU from the team's official cheer performer, M☆Splash!!, participated in the event. Mar-kun was appointed as the one-day chief of Chiba Nishi Police Station.

This event was planned by Chiba Nishi Police Station with the aim of raising public awareness of safety during the New Year holidays. Lectures were given on three themes: "Fraud Prevention," "Traffic Safety," and "Solicitation Prevention."

After the lecture, police vehicles were dispatched for a special New Year's patrol under the command of Mar-kun and Miku. The Chiba Prefectural Kemigawa High School brass band, "Kemisui," also performed, creating a huge excitement in the venue.

"Today I had the opportunity to participate as the police chief for a day. Through this event, I was reminded once again of how everyone in the community and the police are working every day to keep the city safe. It was a day in which I also learned the importance of traffic rules and crime prevention. As a member of Chiba Lotte Marines, I would like to continue to get out into the community, not just at the stadium, and bring safety and security along with smiles!"

"I was able to participate in the event with Mar-kun and hear a lot of important advice from the Chiba Nishi Police Station about safety during the New Year holidays. I hope to spend the New Year holidays safely and be in good condition for the 2026 season!"
