Chiba Lotte Marines published the "The Marines Math Drill Winter 2025 Edition" and distributed it free of charge to 109 public elementary schools in Chiba City. Also, today, Tuesday the 16th, as part of their social contribution project "MARINES LINKS", Atsuya Hirohata pitcher visited Chiba Municipal Tsuga Elementary School. A presentation ceremony for the "The Marines Math Drill" was held with all 429 students in attendance.

At the end of the presentation ceremony, pitcher Hirohata gave a message to the children, saying, "A fun winter break will soon begin, but first, I would like you to use the math workbook that I distributed today to study. The 'workbook' in math workbook is the same as the drill tool used to dig a hole; you dig a hole little by little by going around in circles. Studying should be the same, so work steadily and diligently. And then, enjoy your winter break to the fullest. Thank you for today."
The Marines Arithmetic Drill is a self-study material consisting of problems related to Chiba Lotte Marines and baseball, produced in cooperation with the NPO Chiba Arithmetic and Mathematics Enjoyment Association. This is the 43rd edition since its first distribution in 2011. The Winter 2025 edition was created as a review material for learning up to December. Player visits to schools have been conducted since 2011, and although the presentation ceremonies were canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to the spread of the new coronavirus, they resumed in 2022.
▼Comments pitcher Hirohata▼
"The math drills we gave to the children this time feature the players themselves, with speech bubbles giving hints that lead to the answers. Kyota (Kyota Fujiwara) says something really difficult, and I personally thought it was a very interesting teaching material because I thought, 'Kyota Fujiwara would never say something like that!' (laughs). I think the content of the drills is really well done, so I hope the children will make good use of them. I myself will continue to work hard and do my best to perform well next season."
