On the 7th, Softbank announced that they will not be pitcher pitcher Fumimaru Taura and Takehiro Hasegawa to contracts as controlled players for next season.

Taura joined Softbank as the fifth pick in the 2017 draft. He made his first-team debut in his second year in 2019, and broke out in 2023, pitching in a career-high 45 games with a 2.38 ERA. However, he only pitched in four games last season, and has not pitched in the first team this season. He has pitched in 19 games for the farm team with ERA of 4.58.

Hasegawa joined Nippon-Ham as the sixth pick in the 2021 draft and pitched in 11 games over two years, but made his breakthrough in 2024 when he was transferred to Softbank via the active player draft. In his first year with the team, he pitched in 32 games and contributed to the team's league championship with an ERA of 2.49. This season, he underwent Tommy John surgery before the start of the season and did not pitch.

He also announced that Kotaro Hoshino pitcher, Shinno Oshiro pitcher, Jumpei Fujita pitcher, Kyuta Kazama pitcher, Ren Akaba pitcher, Sota Mizuguchi pitcher, Haruki Katsuren and Jumpei Kawarada players will not sign developmental player contracts for the upcoming season.
