Saitama Seibu Lions 's Shuta Tonosaki player became the 327th player in NPB history to reach 1000 hit and 200 doble at the same time.

Sotozaki started this game as "No. 7 first baseman". When he faced his first at-bat in the bottom of the second inning with one out, he took advantage of the slowness of the opponent's starter, Sota Fujiwara pitch pitcher, from count 2-2, and showed tenacity by fouling four consecutive pitches. The game was the 11th pitch, and when he pulled the breaking ball with a low outside angle, the batted ball broke the third base line.

It was a milestone hit in his 12th year as a professional. He joined the team in 2014 with the third pick in the draft and became a regular in 2017, marking 113 hit. The following year, in 2018, he scored 130 hit, and in 2019, he recorded a career-high 146 hit, contributing to back-to-back victories. Since then, he has played in more than 100 games every year except for 2021 and continues to play an active role as an indispensable member of the team.
