Orix Buffaloes Seymour The player recorded his first RBI since coming to Japan.

Orix Buffaloes in the top of the 6th inning Taishi Hirooka The team took the lead with a timely hit, and then scored three more runs through passed ball and fielder’s choice. With one out and runners on first and third, Seymour swung at the first pitch, and although the ball was jammed, it went in front of the right fielder. This allowed runner on third to score, giving the team their fourth run of the inning.

Newcomer Seymour played in 14 spring training games, struggling with a batting average of .175, but recorded his first hit in Japan in the opening game. He got his first RBI in his fourth game.
