On March 27, The Fighters Hokkaido Nippon-Ham lost the first round of the regular season Hokkaido Nippon-Ham vs. The Giants at Kamagaya Stadium with a score of 1-5.

Hokkaido Nippon-Ham starter Ren Fukushima pitcher scored two runs in the top of the third inning with two outs and two consecutive hits from second base. In the losing Hokkaido Nippon-Ham, Fukushima pitcher went 4.1 innings, 73 pitches, 6 hit 1 Walk 4 strike out 2 runs. The batting line scored 7 hit but only scored 1 run. Hosokawa is showing 2 hit 1 RBI performance.
