Fukuoka Softbank Hawks player Kensuke Kondo made his first appearance in a preseason game since joining the team, recording one RBI and one hit At Bat.

He started the game as the number 3 right fielder. In the first inning, with two outs and no runner on base, he came to bat and pulled the sixth pitch of the at-bat, a 2-2 count, for doble that hit the right field wall. Furthermore, in his second at-bat in the bottom of the third inning with no outs and runners on first and third, he hit sacrifice fly fly to center fielder, recording RBI.

Kondo had a disappointing performance in the WBC, hit, but he hopes to gradually improve his form as the season opener approaches in six days.
