On August 12, the winners of the July 2026 "Taiju Life Monthly MVP Award" were announced, with Pacific League selected as Yugo Maeda pitcher and Kensuke Kondo from Fukuoka Softbank.

Yu Maeda pitcher, who won in the pitcher category, posted a 3-0 record and a ERA of 0.33 in four games in July. He continued to pitch well from his first appearance of the season in May, and on July 26 against Saitama Seibu Lions, he started the season with an 8-0 winning streak with six innings runs. His winning streak continued into August, and he has now grown to 10 wins. Attention is also focused on the pitch going forward.

At the press conference upon receiving the award, he commented, "I was honestly happy to have won the first-team title so early (in my third year), and I felt I need to work even harder." Regarding his winning streak, he said, "I really want to thank the fielder, and I hope I can pitch steadily and fully until the end of the season."

Kensuke Kondo who won the award in the hitter category played in 22 games in July, posting a .342 batting average and 6 Home Run. His .457 on-base percentage RBI 25 were league-leading numbers. In the July 5 game against Chiba Lotte Marines, he hit two three-run homers and went 6-RBI. Even on the 22nd, when the team launched a fierce offensive with 22 runs hit 26, he led the lineup with 4 hit 4 RBI, including a 2-run homer.

Kondo received the award for the fifth time since March and April 2026. At the press conference, he reflected on his July performance, saying, "Compared to March and April, I had more at-bats where I could hit with a good feel. Even as I played more games, I think there were many times when I couldn't really get my image and sense out of place."

This marks the first time since Fukuoka Softbank that Naoyuki Uwasawa pitcher and Taisei Makihara received the award in August 2025.
