On August 7, in the first round of the Farm regular season Orix Buffaloes vs. Tokyo Yakult held in Sugimotoshoji Buffaloes Stadium Maishima, Orix Buffaloes lost 0-4.

Orix Buffaloes 's starter, Leo Yamaguchi pitcher, carried runner every inning through the third inning but failed to runs pitch crucial moments. In the top of the fourth and fifth innings, three batters each retired. In the top of the sixth, Sedeño hit a timely hit to give the team the lead to one run, giving the next batter a Walk, but ultimately grounded it to shortstop and did not allow another run. He pitched 96 pitches in 6 innings, 5 hit 1 Walk 2 strike out 1 runs (earned runs 0), leaving the mound.

The lineup wanted to respond to pitcher Yamaguchi's strong pitching, but struggled with two hit through the fifth inning. In the bottom of the sixth, Masahiro Nishino and Yusuke Mugitani hit in succession, creating a one-out bases loaded opportunity, but couldn't get another home run. In the top of the 7th, inning Ryuga Sato pitcher had 1 hit and no runs pitch, but in the top of the 9th, Issei Watanabe pitcher gave up 3 runs and was taken out. Kento Kawase pitcher got through with a grounder to second, but in the bottom of the 9th, the lineup retired all three batters and the game ended 0-1. Mugitani and Ho Naito each recorded two hit.
