On August 4, in the fifth round of the Farm regular season Hokkaido Nippon-Ham vs. Hayate Shizuoka held at The Fighters Kamagaya Stadium, Hokkaido Nippon-Ham lost 4-9.

In the bottom of the 2nd inning, with two outs, Haruki Nishikawa reached base at doble, and the next Kaito Fujimori hit a timely hit to take the lead.

Starting pitcher Fukuya Yamazaki pitcher has been throwing runner in every inning from the very first inning. In the top of the fourth, after allowing Toshihiko Kuramoto to reach base at doble, he was overtaken by consecutive RBI hits, taking the lead 1-2. In the top of the following fifth, Fukuya pitcher Yamazaki gave up a Walk, and the second pitcher Koji Fukutani pitcher switched to the field. However, Fukuya pitcher extended the lead with a series of hits to bases loaded, and thanks to teammates' errors and sacrifice fly, the lead was extended. In the top of the sixth, third pitcher Daiki Shimizu pitcher gave up a three-run homer, giving up four runs and falling behind 1-9.

The lineup, eager to show their pride, created a chance in the bottom of the sixth inning with two Walk, and Kengo Yoshida hit a timely hit. With one out and bases loaded, Fujimori hit a hit to left field. Both batters managed to score with the opponent's bad throw, making it 4-9.

However, they couldn't reverse the deficit, and Hokkaido Nippon-Ham suffered two consecutive losses. Starter Fukuya Yamazaki pitcher runs 5 hit 2 Walk 2 strike out 3 in the middle of the 5th inning. The lineup featured rookie Fujimori hitting 2 hit 2-RBI, and rookie Minato Handa also hit 2.
