​Ryosuke Tatsumi players from the Tohoku Rakuten Eagles recorded three consecutive Home Run matches.

Tatsumi had scored the go-ahead run in the first game and the game-tying one in the second, taking the Home Run in two straight games. In the bottom of the 7th inning, with the score 7-6, he faced the opposing fifth pitcher, Soichiro Yamazaki pitcher with one out. On the first pitch, he pulled a high fastball and hit a sharp ball to right. He then flew into the home run zone and hit his ninth solo homer. Then, in the bottom of the eighth, with one out and bases loaded, he hit a timely single.

Tatsumi, who had a wild 13 At Bat 9 hit in this matchup, showed a slight dip in form in June but currently leads the team with a .288 batting average (pre-game). Not only is he a stable defense, but he also plays an active role as a core of the lineup.
