walk-off home run puts an end to pitcher duel

July 16, 2025, the 13th game against Tohoku Rakuten Eagles. Starting pitcher Daiki Tajima and Masaru Fujii both pitched well, with the pitcher tied at 0-0 after eight innings. pitcher allowed runner on base in the top of the ninth, but kept the runs. The bottom of the ninth and final inning arrived. With two outs and no runner on base, Nakagawa stepped up to bat.

With full count, Nakagawa caught the sixth pitch, a fastball thrown by pitcher Takahiro Norimoto, and the ball flew straight into the left-field stands. It was his first walk-off home run, leading his team to win. With this hit, Nakagawa was awarded the July "Sky PerfecTV! walk-off Award" for the first time.
