◇ Orix Buffaloes Spring Training Camp Participants Announced

Orix Buffaloes has selected the following members to participate in the spring camp. Espinosa pitcher, Machado pitcher, Perdomo pitcher, Jerry pitcher, and Seymour will join the team after their arrival in Japan. ◇Tohoku Rakuten Eagles acquires Chiharu Tanaka as compensation for Takahiro Norimoto.

Tohoku Rakuten Eagles announced the acquisition of pitcher Chiharu Tanaka as compensation for pitcher Takahiro Norimoto 's exercise of free agency rights and subsequent transfer to The Giants. The 25-year-old right-hander joined The Giants in the 2022 draft as the third pick, and his career record is 2 wins, 3 losses, and 3 holds in 33 games, with ERA of 4.91 in 36.2 innings pitched. He did not pitch in the first team during the 2025 season, but he had a good record in the farm league with 1 win and 1 loss in 36 games and ERA of 1.51.

Fukuoka Softbank "Victory Wing Pair Seat" naming rights name change

Fukuoka Softbank has reached an agreement with Samsung Electronics Japan Co., Ltd. regarding the naming rights for the "Victory Wing Pair Seats" located on the fifth floor on the first base side of MIZUHO PayPay Dome. Starting Saturday, January 24th, the name will be changed to "Samsung Galaxy Seat."

The team has also signed a jersey sponsorship contract with Showa Construction Co., Ltd. for the 2026 season. The "Showa Construction" logo will be displayed on the right hip of jersey during the season. This contract with the company will be in its 16th season, continuing from the 2011 season.
