Kato is a familiar face to The Hawks fans. 19 years ago, in 2006, he participated in the launch of The Hawks official media as a contracted service. For a long time, he worked as an official reporter, personally interviewing and filming for the team's official social media accounts, delivering the voices of the players to fans. He is something of a legend.

As he continued his activities, a department dedicated to official social media was established in 2022, and he joined The Hawks as an employee. In January 2025, he was transferred to the Public Relations Planning Department. Kato says he is now conscious of "broadening the scope of the media."
