On June 19, the ninth round between Chiba Lotte Marines and Tohoku Rakuten Eagles held in Zozo Marine Stadium saw Chiba Lotte Marines win 8-5.

Chiba Lotte Marines Starting pitcher Jackson pitcher gave up the lead in the first inning with McCuscar's fourth two-run homer. The lineup saw Aito's first Home Run since his transfer to reach his first Grand Slam. Sato and Yamaguchi also hit once, and with extra-base hits, they scored a total of 9 hit 8 runs to take the lead and win.

On the other hand, the defeated Tohoku Rakuten Eagles started Kosei Shoji pitcher pitching 5 innings with 92 pitches, 5 hit 1 Walk, 5 strike out 4 runs. Although the lineup showed some connection and scored in the early stages, from the fourth inning onward they were only four hit ahead of the opponent's pitcher lineup.
