◇ Hokkaido Nippon-Ham vs. Saitama Seibu Lions, Game 1 (17th, ES CON FIELD)

Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters player Ruan Ohtsuka got his first professional hit.

He was promoted to starting line-up on the 17th and started as the leadoff hitter and second baseman. In the bottom of the first inning, with his team trailing by one run, he stepped up to the plate for his first professional at-bat. On the second pitch from opposing pitcher Yutaro Watanabe, he connected with a low breaking ball, sending the ball over first baseman 's head and down first base line for a doble. The offense then continued to rally, and he scored the tying run on sacrifice fly by Reyes.

He joined the team in the 2025 draft as the third pick from Tokai University. In the preseason games, he failed to produce results, going hit in four games, but he played in 14 games in the minor leagues, recording a batting average of .267, 1 Home Run, and 6 RBI.
