◇ Hokkaido Nippon-Ham vs. Yokohama DeNA BayStars: "Nippon Life Interleague Series 2026" Game 1 (June 9th, ES CON FIELD)

Hokkaido Nippon-Ham 's third-round draft pick, rookie Ruan Ohtsuka hit his second home run of the season, a three-run homer.

In the bottom of the third inning, with the score tied 0-0, Yuya Gunji hit a timely doble to score the first run. Then, with two outs and runners on second and third base, Otsuka came to bat. On the fourth pitch thrown by opposing pitcher Kentaro Taira, Otsuka connected with a low slider, sending the ball high into the right field stands. The ball bounced back and was initially ruled in play, but after a replay review, it was Home Run.

Otsuka hit Home Run in about a month, since the game Orix Buffaloes on May 2nd. His second professional home run was a hit that gave momentum to the team, which is currently on a winning streak.
