On August 29, in the 19th round between Orix Buffaloes and Fukuoka Softbank held in Kyocera Dome Osaka, Orix Buffaloes win 4-3.

In the bottom of the third, Orix Buffaloes created a good opportunity with runners on second and third with no outs and a series of hits by Yusuke Mugitani and Ryoma Nishikawa. On the other hand, Fukuoka Softbank Ryosuke Otsu pitcher threw 103 pitches in 6 innings, 8 hit 1 Walk 3 strike out 4 runs (earned runs 0), with errors by their teammates playing a crucial role. The batting lineup closed the gap to one run in the final innings but couldn't catch up with lose. Notably, Akira Kawase recorded 2 hit 1 RBI.
