Fukuoka Softbank Ryoya Kurihara player scored the equalizer grand slam.

In the bottom of the 7th, third pitcher Hikaru Kimura pitcher gave up two Home Run, and the score was 1-5 in the top of the eighth. He created a good batting order from the leadoff batter, and with a hit of the second Walk and Ukyo Shuto, he created a no-outs bases loaded, giving the fourth batter Ryoya Kurihara the batting opportunity. On the first and second pitches, the inside fastball missed, and on the third pitch. He also pulled the inside ball fiercely, and the ball quickly flew into the middle of the stands.

Fukuoka Softbank tied the score in this Grand Slam. Kurihara scored 4 RBI, surpassing Kensuke Kondo 's 89 RBI with 90 RBI to take the Pacific League lead.

"I was able to perfectly capture the fastball. I was just focused on my own batting. I think the result of being able to concentrate well allowed me to finish it off with a single swing. Yugo (Maeda) was also working hard, so I'm glad we became the home run to erase the loss first. We were able to get back to square one, so I want to somehow connect it to victory."
