On August 12, in the 16th round of the Farm regular season Saitama Seibu Lions vs. The Giants held in Belluna Dome, Saitama Seibu Lions win 5-1.

Saitama Seibu Lions started Rei Takahashi pitcher against his former team. They built up runner with extra-base hits and Hit by Pitch in the first inning, but got through with no runs. Then, in the bottom of the first, the lineup took the lead, and with a series of hits from Walk, Taiyo Sato, and Manaya Nishikawa, they made it a no-outs bases loaded, and took the lead with Takumi Kuriyama sacrifice fly. With two outs and runners on second and third, Reon Murata hit a two-run single to score, scoring three runs in that inning.

In the top of the 2nd, Rei Takahashi pitcher scored 1 runs on Reito Nakayama's 4th solo homer, but the lineup scored 1 run in the bottom of the 3rd with Murata's bases-loaded Walk. Rei Takahashi pitcher closer the top of the 3rd inning with no runs, pitching 51 pitches with 2 Hit by Pitch 3 strike out 1 runs and was pulled. The second pitcher, Shinya Sugai pitcher, pitched well in the top of the fourth with three batters, and in the top of the fifth, he pitched three consecutive struck out. In the top of the sixth and seventh innings, all three batters retired in order, including two struck out each. In the top of the eighth, despite giving up hit with two outs, he retired with no runs, and his fifth inning was consolidated into 61 pitches, one hit, no walks Hit by Pitch eight strike out no runs.

Meanwhile, the lineup added runs in the bottom of the 7th with Ginjiro Sumitani's first solo homer. In the top of the ninth, leading by 4 runs, Yuta Nakamura pitcher retired all three batters to close the game. Saitama Seibu Lions extended their winning streak to 5, and their second pitcher, pitcher Sugai, earned their second win. The lineup saw Sumitani hit 2 hit 1 RBI, and Nishikawa, who returned from injury for the first starting line-up, recorded 2 hit 1 stolen base.
