He'll be looking to continue making a strong impression in order to earn his first call-up to the first team this season.

He hit Home Run in the first inning and then delivered a game-tying RBI single in the bottom of the 8th inning when his team was trailing by one run. The player to watch for the Saitama Seibu Lions is Shun Akiyama, who has recorded multiple hit in two consecutive games. In the previous game, he hit sweep doble in his first at-bat, and then hit another RBI single in his third at-bat, finishing with 3 hit 4 RBI. With Masayuki Kuwahara returning to action on the 5th, the question is whether Akiyama can put himself forward in the competition for an outfielder.

Hotaka Yamakawa 's form is improving, with 3 Home Run 4 RBI, and a batting average of .333 in his last 5 games.

The 23rd game between Fukuoka Softbank and Hiroshima will be held at Tama Home Stadium Chikugo starting at 6 PM.
