On Sunday, August 9th, Chiba Lotte Marines will hold "Camp Miyakonojo Day" at Zozo Marine Stadium during their game against Orix Buffaloes. They will distribute "Camp Miyakonojo March," an original design of Koala's March cookies produced by Miyakonojo City, to the first 20,000 attendees.

Miyakonojo City in Miyazaki Prefecture will become the new training camp site for Chiba Lotte Marines in 2025, hosting the second team's spring training camp in February of that year and the autumn training camp in the fall. Furthermore, it will host the first ever first team spring training camp in February 2026, deepening its ties with The Marines.

Furthermore, Lotte Co., Ltd. has signed a naming rights agreement for facilities within Miyakonojo Sports Park, and the Miyakonojo Sports Park ball park has been given the nickname "Koala's March Stadium," which has also become a topic of conversation. "Campsite Miyakonojo DAY" is being held against the backdrop of these connections between Miyakonojo City, The Marines, and Lotte Co., Ltd. With the aim of widely introducing the charms of Miyakonojo City to fans, Miyakonojo City's original design Koala's March, "Campsite Miyakonojo March," will be distributed.

"Miyakonojo Camp March" features original packaging designed with illustrations of Chance-kun the koala wearing a The Marines uniform, and a koala-like illustration based on pitcher Koshiro Hiroike, who is from Miyakonojo City. The cute design conveys the connection between Miyakonojo City and The Marines.

On the day of the event, the tickets will be distributed to the first 20,000 visitors with tickets for the day's game at each gate except for Gate L. In addition, "Campsite Miyakonojo DAY" will feature various events where visitors can experience the charm of Miyakonojo, including the sale of gourmet food such as Miyakonojo-produced Miyazaki beef skewers and charcoal-grilled chicken, as well as sales of local products, an appearance by Miyakonojo's PR character "Bonchi-kun," and a "Miyakonojo Quiz" where participants can win Miyazaki beef, shochu, and more.

"As someone from Miyakonojo City, I'm happy to be involved in a project that connects my hometown with The Marines. The packaging features illustrations of Chance-kun and a koala modeled after me, making it a really cute design. I hope many people will pick it up and learn more about Miyakonojo, where the team's training camp is held."
