Orix Buffaloes outfielder Ryoma Nishikawa declared he's powered up. In the 9th inning, with a one-run lead, he hit his 10th home run of the season, a two Home Run shot over right field. This was his first time reaching double-digit home runs in four years.

He was pleased with the home run that sealed win, saying, "I was trying to hit a long ball, so I'm glad I was able to do it." His personal best was 16 home runs, recorded in 2019 while playing for Hiroshima, and he expressed his desire to surpass that career high, saying, "It would be great if I could do that."

He hit seven Home Run in July and August. With 29 games remaining in the regular season, he confidently stated, "Rather than just getting hits, I'm aiming for extra-base hits. I'll go into all the remaining games with that mindset. Extra-base hits. It would be great if I could hit home run too."
