"I, Tsuyoshi Nishioka, will be leaving Chiba Lotte Marines at the end of the 2026 season. First of all, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved with the team and to the The Marines fans who supported me throughout the year. Although it was only a year, it was truly a rich and valuable year for me, with many valuable experiences.

Since my playing days, I have not lived a baseball life solely dedicated to Lotte. Chiba Lotte Marines, Major League, Hanshin Tigers, independent leagues, as well as commentators, managers, and coaches. Up until now, I have always changed my environment, met many people, and experienced many baseball.

There is something I personally cherish as a theme in my life. That is 'continuously increasing my experience.' Since graduating high school until today, I have truly gained many experiences through baseball. There have been successes, and times of failure. There were times I was happy, and times I felt frustrated.

But each and every one of them has shaped the Tsuyoshi Nishioka who he is today. That's why I want to keep diving into new environments and updating myself. This departure is not the end for me. Tsuyoshi Nishioka will set out once again on a journey to gain more experience.

And here, there's one thing I want to make clear to everyone. For me, Chiba Lotte Marines will remain a special team for the future. During my playing days, they raised me as a professional baseball player. They also pushed me forward when I challenged myself in the Major Leagues. And when I joined Hanshin Tigers, I wanted to experience the baseball of Central League. And when I told them I wanted to experience the challenges and greatness of a popular team, they respected my opinion.

Then, in 2010, before I challenged the majors, I told the team about one goal. 'Someday, I want to become someone who helps develop the Chiba Lotte Marines who helped me grow into a strong team.' At that time, there were words from the team. 'Start as a player, Chiba Lotte Marines. Start as a coach, wear Chiba Lotte Marines jersey.' I have always remembered those words.

And in 2026, I was able to start as a coach wearing the Chiba Lotte Marines jersey. As a rookie coach, I thought this year's theme would be to keep things low-profile, create an environment where players can focus on their baseball, and be someone who stands by them when they struggle, so I put on jersey.

In reality, I learned a lot more from the players. 'I've gained more experience again.' There were so many moments when I felt that way. That's why I want to keep seeing the outside world. I want to learn about various baseball, meet different people, gain various experiences, and someday give back to the Chiba Lotte Marines that has nurtured me. That is one of my goals in baseball life.

Some Lotte fans might wonder, 'Are you leaving Lotte again?' But I have no intention of leaving Lotte. As someone who was raised by Lotte once, I want to someday give back to them. For that reason, for now, I'm going on a journey to improve my experience just a little more. I am only grateful to the team that always believes in and respects my ideas.

To everyone involved with the team, the players, and The Marines fans. Thank you so much for 2026. We will definitely meet again somewhere. And when that time comes, I want to show Tsuyoshi Nishioka a more mature side than he is now. Tsuyoshi Nishioka, I'm going on a journey to gain a little more experience. Let's meet again."
