​Makkascar from Tohoku Rakuten Eagles hit his eighth solo homer.

In the top of the second inning, right after starting pitcher Takahisa Hayakawa pitcher gave up the lead, McCuscar caught the first pitch at the plate. The moment he hit, the hit was a huge parabolic arc and landed in the middle of the left field stands. He quickly tied the game.

McCuscar couldn't perform at his usual batting average, hitting in the .100s right after the season started, but after rejoining in May, his batting was strong. With that single hit, he went 8 Home Run 28 RBI and is now functioning as the core of the lineup.

"I hit fastball. Since it was after we conceded a run, I was able to catch up right away, which was great. Today, there's no wind, so the ball isn't pushed back, so I'm relieved." (smile)
