◆ Pacific League League: Lotte vs. Orix Buffaloes (12th, ZOZO Marine Stadium)
Orix Buffaloes pitcher Anderson Espinoza left the game after 7 innings, runs 4 hit and 2 strike out 4.
In the first inning, immediately after his team's offense scored the first run, he cleanly retired the side in order, giving the opposing team no chance to score. However, he suddenly faltered in the second inning. With no outs, he allowed bases loaded to hit a single to left field and Sato to hit a Walk to center field, and then walked Teraji, loading the bases. He then gave up a two-run single to Ueda, temporarily allowing the opposing team to take the lead.
Still, he bounced back from the third inning onward, and through the sixth inning when the lineup was overturned, he retired all three batters in four consecutive inning.
In the 7th inning, with one out, Teraji was carried to center field, and Ueda was put on a Walk to walk the field, putting runners on first and second. Even so, he flew out to center to center to Ogawa, missed Yamazaki, and got the ball out of struck out, then threw his fist pump.
In the eighth inning, reliever Mukunoki took mound. Espinoza was on the verge of his career-high and team-leading eighth win.
