◆ Pacific League League: Lotte vs. Orix Buffaloes (October 10th, ZOZO Marine Stadium)

Lotte's pitcher Koshiro Hiroike (23) started the game but was knocked out after 3 1/3 innings, throwing 71 pitches, giving up 7 hit 4 runs. He was unable to secure his third win of the season, his first since the game against Hiroshima on May 28th (at Mazda Stadium).

In the first inning, they managed to escape a jam with two outs and runners on first and second base without giving up any runs, and in the bottom of the inning, Aito hit a timely single to score the first run.

However, in the second inning, Kita hit a timely doble to take the lead. In the bottom of the inning, Fujiwara hit a timely doble and Nishikawa hit a timely single to give them a two-run lead, but in the third inning, Moritomo hit a game-tying two-run homer, and they were quickly caught up to again.

Furthermore, in the fourth inning, with one out and runners on first and third base, Nakagawa hit a timely single to left field, creating a dangerous situation. Manager Saburo came out of the dugout with a grim expression and told him to be replaced.
