Bob Seymour of Orix Buffaloes

Orix Buffaloes Buffaloes infielder Bob Seymour (27) rejoined the first team on the 29th after a month-long absence. In his first year in Japan this season, he played in 37 games, batting .169 with 3 Home Run and 15 RBI, and was removed from the active roster on May 25th. He has clearly set his sights on the upcoming series against Nippon-Ham (at Escon Stadium) starting on the 30th.

"I want to contribute to the team again with extra-base hits and home run." In the farm league, he hit one Home Run in 18 games. However, he faced opponents 69 times and increased his running volume at the same time. He is naturally a serious person and is dedicated to practice. With a deep tan, he said with conviction, "Right now, I am just so happy to be back. I feel like I've prepared myself in my own way."

The team is in fourth place, five games behind league Seibu Lions, and their 42 Home Run are the fewest in the league. Sugimoto, who is expected to hit home runs, has been sent back to the farm team for further adjustments. Manager Kishida has also brought back Noguchi, who can play second base, shortstop, and outfield, and expressed his hopes, saying, "He's been working hard in the farm team. He's got the atmosphere and vibe of the first team, so I hope he can be a catalyst." All three of his home runs this season have been against Nippon-Ham. The foreign slugger, who is in top physical and mental condition, is expected to finally inject power into the lineup. (Toru Nagata)

Orix Buffaloes 's Noguchi (rejoining the first team for the first time since June 9th): "Preparation before the game, and preparation when coming in mid-game, too. I've been thinking about those things carefully and working on them in my own way while I was in the farm team. I want to raise my awareness more than ever and do my best to contribute to the team once again."
