Seibu Lions Lions outfielder Yuta Nakasawa has been selected as the Central Division recipient of the "SMBC Trust Bank Farm Team Monthly MVP Award" for May.

Nakazo played in 21 games in the minor leagues in May, batting .288 with 5 Home Run and 18 RBI.

Nakami joined the team in 2020 as the 7th pick in the draft from Osaka Yuta Nakamikawa High School. Since then, his registered name had been his real name, "Nakamigawa Yuta," but he changed his registered name to "Nakami Yuta" this season.

Upon receiving the award, he commented, "I've re-examined my batting and focused on making solid contact with the pitches I'm aiming for during games. I think being able to execute my ideal swing led to this result. I will continue to showcase my strength, which is my power hitting, and work hard to be promoted to the first team. Also, with the farm league now operating under a three-division system this season, I've had more opportunities to face pitcher I haven't had much experience with before. While there are times when I find it difficult to adapt, I believe it's a necessary experience for competing in the first team, so I want to use these matches to grow."
