Hirooka appeared in 13 games this season, with 9 At Bat 47 at hit for a batting average of .191. He was removed from the roster on April 18 due to a lower body injury.

He will be hospitalized for several days and will undergo rehabilitation with the aim of returning to competition as soon as possible.
